As a Store Manager, you will cultivate a sense of ownership and accountability to the overall operation and success of your store. Your role is critical in ensuring our long and short-term strategies in maximizing our sales, profitability and growth. You are also responsible for giving direction, leading and managing your store according to our company values and culture.

In this role, you will have to be decisive, manage with integrity, and stay calm during challenging times. You will be required to build trust with your team, lead by example, value creative differences and handle conflict effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

  • · Ensure all team members are adhering to company standards by enforcing The Store Policy & Procedures, Company Handbook and embracing the Modern Store Code;
  • · Collaborate and communicate with your District Manager frequently on client satisfaction, employee engagement and overall store performance;
  • · Encourage all team members to participate and hit all sales goals, contests, SPIFFS and other incentives through understanding promotions/sales, product knowledge, and customer service;
  • · Exemplify our "Never Say No" approach to customer service to build client loyalty and increase client satisfaction in turn growing store sales;
  • · Create a positive and supportive work environment where you are professional, approachable, non-judgmental and unbiased;
  • · Develop a hands-on supervision approach where you exemplify the expectations of your team;
  • · Embrace and support Modern’s team culture by actively bringing positivity for and about our company to your team and coworkers;
  • · Train and supervise your team in implementing and maintaining the highest level of presentation and visual standards consistent with the Merchandizing and Branding Guide and direction from the Store Merchandising Manager;
  • · Responsible for drafting schedules and ensuring adequate shift coverage with guidance from District Manager;
  • · Protection of Intellectual Property and other confidential information such as store sales, staff performance, compensation and company strategies;
  • · Retain your team members by nurturing their potential, providing regular constructive support, utilizing conflict resolution techniques and collaborating with your District Manager about possible issues;
  • · Manage inventory by adhering to company policies including loss prevention, invoicing, transfers, discrepancies, adjustments and other instructions from the inventory department;
  • · Be innovative in your approach to opportunities and challenges that arise with support from District Manager;
  • · Perform all roles and responsibilities of the Store Sales Associate, and other duties as required;
