Modern Beauty named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies

CALGARY, June 13 - Modern Beauty was recognized for its industry-leading performance, its global business practices, and its sustained growth by receiving the Gold Standard winner in 2024. Celebrating over 30 years, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program awards excellence in private Canadian-owned companies. To attain the designation, companies are evaluated on their leadership in the areas of strategy, culture and commitment, capabilities, and innovation, governance and financial performance.

Modern is the largest privately-owned company in the Canadian beauty industry. Our family-owned business of 38 years has built a team with an integral network of 79% women, while also committing to the principles of inclusion and diversity.

Through this program, we partner with one of our brands to feature a product where 100% of the proceeds go to a chosen charity. To date, we have raised over $750,000 for many Canadian charities, including ALS Canada, Breakfast Club of Canada, and the Canadian Mental Health Association. 

Canada’s Best Managed Companies is one of the country’s leading business awards programs recognizing innovative and world‑class businesses. Every year, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies compete for this designation in a rigorous and independent evaluation process. Applicants are evaluated by an independent panel of judges with representation from program sponsors and special guests.
